Most literature on functional superfood mushrooms and dosage hover around 2-4 grams per day of dried material. While most people can comfortably exceed this amount, it is a typical minimum or starting part for most to begin with.
There are additional considerations in this recommendation for consumers to keep in mind as well. For example, if it's fruiting-body or mycelium-on-grain; we cover this topic in this blog but in a nutshell, a mycelium-on-grain product is said to be roughly 60% grain substrate, and 40% mycelium. In which case one would need to increase the amount consumed by more than 2x. All our products are fruiting-body so the suggested amount is still 2-4 grams.
Other considerations include the concentration of the extract. For example, 250 mg of an 8:1 extract is the equivalent of 2000 mg of 1:1 extract. Most of our products are considered 1:1 so for every 1 gram of mushroom pre-extraction will be 1 gram of mushroom post-extraction.
The exception to this is our coffees, which have 8:1 extracts in them as to not alter the taste or brewing function of the coffee, and our tinctures which go through a dual-extraction with both alcohol & hot water.
